Everton makes Andre Gomes’ Contract Permanent from Barcelona

DBasia.news – Portugal midfielder Andre Gomes is no longer a Barcelona loan player at Everton. According to news from Sky Sports, Everton has made him permanent for £ 22 million and has a five-year contract (up to 2024).
Before officially signing Andre Gomes, Everton had rejected two Barcelona offers first which were worth 18 million pounds and 20 million pounds. Besides Everton, Andre Gomes was eyed by another Premier League club, West Ham United.
Gomes was first in Everton uniform when he was on loan in the 2018/19 season. He collected one goal from 29 appearances in the Premier League with the Toffees last season.
The 25-year-old player was a former Benfica academy player in the 2011/12 season, before being promoted to Benfica’s main squad a year later. He was loaned to Valencia in the 2014/15 season, before finally being recruited by Barcelona in 2016.
