Signed with a 45M euro from AS Monaco last summer 2018, not many people know that the 25-year-old player almost joined the Ligue 1 defending champion, Paris Saint-Germain. He confessed about that.
“I never thought of going elsewhere. If I had to sign at PSG, it’s the year before it could have been done. They were very interested, I talked a lot with Antero Henrique (PSG’s sporting director) and the club’s leaders, but it didn’t work,” Fabinho told L’Equipe.
“The year after, I did not wait for them and then I thought it was time to leave France,” he concluded.
So far, Fabinho played in 19 caps of all competitions, 13 of them in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp’s trust could be seen from Fabinho who became the starter in 9 of the matches.
