Fabinho Could Be Better in Liverpool

DBasia.news – Giorginio Wijnaldum hails the performance of the new recruit of his squad, Fabinho. Wijnaldum believes his teammate hasn’t revealed the best of him.
Fabinho was the man of the match when Liverpool defeated Manchester United 3-1 at Anfield last weekend. He also succeeded in creating the assist for Sadio Mane’s first goal.
Seeing his impressive performance, Wijnaldum hails the adaptation process of the Brasilian player. He assumes it won’t be easy for any player to adapt in a new club with a different playing scheme.
“I think he can do even better – I think all of us can do even better. It’s always difficult if you play for another team that didn’t play the way we play, so when you come here you have to settle in,” Wijnaldum said.
“That’s not always easy and I think he did it quite well. Step by step he learned more about the way of playing,” he added.
Regarding his rivalry with Fabinho and other midfielders, Wijnaldum won’t worry. He thinks it’s fair enough for a team as big as Liverpool to have many great players.
“It’s always good if you have competition in one position because that means you have to perform to stay in the team. But I think that has to be normal at a club like Liverpool because it’s a top team, one of the biggest teams in England, so Liverpool will always sign good players and that means there will always be competition in the team,” he concluded.
