DBasia.news – Liverpool midfielder Fabinho suffered an ankle injury against Napoli in a Champions League match. The injury left Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp worried.
Liverpool were only able to draw 1-1 with the guest, Napoli in the Champions League Group E match continued at Anfield on Thursday (11/28/2019) early morning Western Indonesian Time. The visitors won first through Dries Mertens, before Dejan Lovren replied.
In that match, Fabinho only lasted 20 minutes on the field. He was later replaced by Georginio Wijnaldum.
“The biggest blow was Fabinho’s injury, it was massive. It’s still early and we all hope it’s not too serious, but it is quite painful and in an area that you don’t want to have pain, around the ankles,” Klopp said at Soccerway.
With this result, Liverpool is on the top of the standings with 10 points. While Napoli followed below with nine points.
In the last match, Liverpool will travel to the headquarters of Salzburg, who is in the third position with seven points. If you lose, then Sadio Mane and his friends can be eliminated.
“In the Napoli dressing room, they feel like they’ve escaped and maybe already. Everyone here thinks, ‘Oh my God, it will be difficult’ and it will indeed be difficult, that’s obvious,” Klopp added.
