Fans Would Revenge to PSG or Madrid, Here’s Jurgen Klopp Response

DBasia.news – Liverpool got the last ticket to the knockout round following the victory against Napoli in the last Group C match at Anfield, Wednesday (12/12).

In the match with a 1-0 score, The Reds secured the points by the goal from Mohamed Salah at 34′.

The result makes them qualified for the knockout round as the runner-up of Group C. It means they might have the revenge match against Real Madrid as the winner of Group G. As we know, El Real defeated The Reds last season in the final round with a 3-1 score.

Responding to this, the team manager Jurgen Klopp speaks up and declares that his squad don’t have any motivation to revenge Sergio Ramos and friends.

“The only thing I know is that a lot of fans would like to have revenge against PSG (for last month’s loss in Paris) but we have no say in that,” Klopp said.

“We wait for the draw, no problem, with that. I don’t care. We are second in the group, we will have an outstanding, strong opponent,” he added.

Liverpool’s success in securing one ticket on the knockout round raised the expectation, but Klopp stated the contrary. He refused the status as the favorite candidate in the highest competition.

“I have no idea and I don’t care actually – all the others still in the competition. We have such a long season and until February we have around 30 games,” the 50-year-old manager concluded.
