For Capello, Loyalty in Football Is Like A Myth

DBasia.news –  Maurizio Sarri certainty on becoming the new Juventus coach makes people think of him as a traitor. But this assumption was completely opposed by charismatic trainers such as Fabio Capello.

For Capello, Sarri only carried out his duties as a professional trainer. He also added that a professional would not be loyal to one club throughout his career training him.

The man who once handled three Italian giants, AC Milan, AS Roma and Juventus even exemplified how Jose Mourinho had to swallow his saliva when he said he would not train another English club other than Chelsea.

“A coach is a job for professionals, you can’t think he can be loyal to just one club. Look at Mourinho, he once said ‘I will not train other Premier League clubs other than Chelsea’ and after that, we all know he moved to Manchester United,” Capello said.

“Being loyal in football is like a myth, almost impossible, especially in Italy. We have seen how coaches and players leave the rival club. And they are not traitors, they are true professionals,” he continued.

Sarri’s appointment as a Juventus coach was criticized by various parties, especially from the Napoli camp. Understandably, he had trained Il Partenopei for three seasons and successfully brought Dries Mertens et al to become the main competitor of the Old Lady in reaching the Scudetto.
