For the sake of Bringing in Jadon Sancho, Manchester United is Ready to Sell Six of their Players

DBasia.news – Manchester United is reportedly ready to sell six of their players in the transfer market next season in order to have sufficient funds to bring in Borussia Dortmund’s flagship winger, Jadon Sancho.

The club nicknamed the Red Devils have seen their revenue streams hit by the Corona virus pandemic (Covid-19) and will have less money to spend in the next transfer window.

MU senior officials have announced that they will not spend more than 50 million pounds on Sancho. However, Woodward hopes he can sell a number of club players to raise funds.

According to Athletic as quoted by Express, Thursday (9/8), Alexis Sanchez, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Jesse Lingard and Diogo Dalot would all leave Old Trafford.

Sanchez has declined since his arrival from Arsenal in January 2018 and was sent on loan to Inter Milan this season. The Serie A side are not interested in making him a permanent deal, but a loan for the next 12 months is very possible and it will save United around £ 10 million in wages.

Another star who could be tempted by a full-time transition to Italy is Smalling, who spent the year on loan to Rome. MU wants £ 25 million for the defender, but if the amount is reduced, they might reach an agreement.

Meanwhile, Athletic added that super agent, Mino Raiola could help Lingard complete his move to Italy, with Jones also debated to follow in his footsteps.

Aside from Sancho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also hopes that his budget can reach other creative midfielders and left-foot center backs. But the Norwegian boss knows he can’t get everything he asks for.

“There must be realism,” Ole said. “The whole world has changed both financially and in our perception, so every time I put a case in front of Ed, I think that is reasonable and realistic,” he added.

“I think I have proven to the club, I always have long-term thoughts for the club,” he stated.

“I don’t think short-term or (that) personally, ‘This suits me’. I always think long-term and try to make good deals,” he stressed.
