Fowler’s Comment About Salah’s Declining Performance

Mohamed Salah
DBasia.news – The statistic of Mohamed Salah mentioned that he just performed in 11 matches with 3 goals and 2 assists so far. Compared to the last season, Salah’s performance with Liverpool this season is declining.
Big chance, Mo Salah won’t be able to perform like last season because the opponents already knew how to tackle him. As a matter of fact, Mo Salah became a great sensation last season with 44 goals from 52 matches of all competitions.
Salah broke the records and collected the individual awards. He also got the Premier League Golden Boot by his 32 goals from 36 matches in 2017-2018 Premier League. The El Mokawloon academy alumnus also scored 10 goals in the Champions League, bringing Liverpool to the final before defeated by Real Madrid 1-3.
The anomaly of the former Roma player this season also raised the attention from Liverpool legend, Robbie Fowler. One of Liverpool’s top scorers of all time assumed it would be difficult for Salah to repeat his glory moment last season, especially in the terms of goal achievement.
“I’m not saying he’s having a bad year so far. He’s still a good player, he’s still an excellent player but to replicate what he did last year will be unbelievable,” Fowler told Sky Sports.
Fowler
“I think he’ll still score goals, I think he’ll still score a lot of goals. What I like about Mo Salah is that his work ethic is brilliant, he doesn’t shy away from anything. What I would be more worried about is if he wasn’t getting chances.”
“He will bang the goals in. I’m not sure he’ll hit the heights he did last year but he is still a magnificent player. He will still be a danger throughout the Premier League (season),” Fowler added.
Interestingly, when Mo Salah faced a stuck moment and hard to repeat his achievement last season, both of his teammates Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino feel the same. This is a homework for Jurgen Klopp.
