Frank Lampard about Chelsea’s transfer
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Chelsea moved quickly ahead of the 2020 summer transfer window by recruiting two of Europe’s top players: Judge Ziyech and Timo Werner.
Not yet satisfied, several other players are also reportedly included in The Blues shopping list, the two figures claimed to be targets are Angel Gomes who is currently defending Manchester United and West Ham star Declan Rice.
The public believes that if the defending champions of the Europa League are serious enough to want to bring in two players, Rice was previously an alumni of the Chelsea academy, while Angel Gomes’ new contract discussions with The Red Devils are deadlocked and he can be obtained free of charge from 1st of July 2020.
After a few moments of no comment, Frank Lampard finally opened his voice about The Blues’ opportunity to bring the two players in the summer of 2020. The former Derby County coach denied that he was interested in recruiting Gomes and Rice.
“Angel Gomes? The thing I can say at this time is I never mentioned his name,” Lampard said as reported by the Evening Standard.
“While Declan Rice, he is a good player, I have known him for a long time, when he was still in the Chelsea academy, but there was absolutely no talk of bringing him in. Until this season is over, not much can be said,” added the 42 years old coach.
Although reluctant to say much about the players to be brought by Chelsea, Frank Lampard’s focus now seems to be adding ammunition to the defense line, they are reportedly already negotiating with Leicester City regarding the transfer of Ben Chilwell.
