Frank Lampard Discusses the Striker’s Arrival Issue to Stamford Bridge
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Moussa Dembele (Olympique Lyonnais) and Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain – PSG), are the two attackers who have been linked with Chelsea. However, Frank Lampard, Chelsea manager, denied the rumors.
Chelsea are reportedly looking for a new striker. This condition is due to Olivier Giroud who is certain to head to Inter Milan in the 2020 winter transfer market.
Two names that were widely associated with being close to heading to Stamford Bridge were Edinson Cavani and Moussa Dembele. However, Cavani is also being sought after by Atletico Madrid.
However, Frank Lampard have stated that the news was untrue. He is not interested in commenting on players who will not definitely join in.
“The news (about the interest in Edinson Cavani and Moussa Dembele) is untrue. I am not discussing with Cavani, so I cannot tell you,” Frank Lampard said.
“Until everyone is here or not and signs a contract at a club, then that is time for me to comment. Whether they are being targeted or not.”
“Michy Batshuayi will play from the start. (Tammy Abraham’s injury) is an opportunity for him. We have seen the consistency of Abraham, but there is a place for Batshuayi,” added Frank Lampard.
At the same time, Frank Lampard also denied the intention to bring in a new goalkeeper. Lampard gave Kepa Arrizabalaga an opportunity until at least the end of the season.
