Frank Lampard Praises Arrizabalaga Personality
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Frank Lampard praised the reaction of Kepa Arizzabalaga after he was reserved when against Leicester City. The 25-year-old goalkeeper is working hard to improve his performance.
He appeared far from expectations in his second season with Chelsea. His rescue score is one of the worst in the Premier League.
He recorded a rescue percentage of 55.56 percent. This has made Chelsea only record six clean sheets this season.
Kepa’s poor performance has made him be side lined by Lampard when Chelsea faced Leicester City in the 25th week of the English League. The Chelsea manager preferred to play Willy Caballero in the match that ended in a 2-2 draw.
A question now arises, whether Lampard will continue to reserve Kepa in the next fight. Given that the Blues must face Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, Tuesday (17/2).
Lampard himself praised Kepa’s response after being side lined. He felt that the Spanish goalkeeper had worked hard to improve his performance. But the 41-year-old manager was reluctant to disclose his choice under the rule when meeting the Red Devils.
“I have decided. You will see it later (on match day),” Lampard said as quoted by Sportskeeda.
“His reaction after being side lined was great. It was as I had hoped.”
“He practiced hard and tried to be humble. I haven’t talked to him much this week and I’m sure I’ll speak to him soon,” he stated.
