Basia.news – Michael Owen advised Gareth Bale to leave Real Madrid in the transfer market this summer.
Earlier, Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane had confirmed that he would no longer rely on Bale.
With the age of 30 years on next July, Owen believes Bale can no longer be used as investment material but he is still qualified for any team.
“I certainly don’t want to be in a place where I don’t want and if Gareth feels he doesn’t get the love he should, maybe now is the time for him to return to England,” Owen said.
“I am sure there are many clubs who want to have him but he reached the point in his career where he is no longer an investment.”
“There will be no profit if he is sold again, and bringing him at this stage is a matter of the present,” Owen said.
Last season, Bale packed 14 goals and six assists from 42 appearances for Madrid in all competitions.
