DBasia.news – Performing well as the manager of Manchester United won’t ensure Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s position is safe, at least to be the permanent manager. United are still associated with some names like Mauricio Pochettino, Zinedine Zidane, and Gareth Southgate, the coach of England national team.
Bringing England national team played well in the 2018 World Cup to the semifinal round makes Southgate as one of the reputable coaches. Moreover, he is talented in arranging the squad consist of young lads. Hence, Southgate is considered as the right person to lead Man United.
Considering that issue, Southgate explained that he still enjoys the duty as England national team coach. Bluntly, he said that his duty as the head coach of The Three Lions hasn’t completed yet. Besides the contract until 2022, he hasn’t completed the squad.
“I’m the England manager and it’s a privileged position to be in. We’ve had the best year for 28 years and we’ve got a semi-final this summer. So, it’s a hugely exciting time with the team. I don’t think we’ve progressed as far as we can yet. I think there’s room for us to grow,” Southgate explained cited from Mirror, Monday (21/1).
“I think there is a lot of importance in life about enjoying what you are doing. I am still a young coach, I’ve managed fewer than 200 matches, so, for me, it’s an honor to be in the role I’m in and I thoroughly enjoy it,” he continued.
