Germany Revival After the 2018 World Cup
By news-admin
DBasia.news – Former captain of Germany National Team, Philipp Lahm, was certain that his country would revive after the failure during the 2018 World Cup. Lahm ensured Germany would build the team to be the champion of Europe and the world.
As the defending champion, Germany failed to qualify the group-phase of 2018 World Cup. They were on the same track: defending champion failed in the group-phase, just like what happened during the past editions.
In fact, Germany was predicted to be the champion. As we know, they have a great squad in all lines, also the substitute players.
However, Lahm suggested Germany shouldn’t be down for too long. Bayern Munchen’s former key player assumed that Germany has the power to revive better.
“It will be a wistful moment for both us and Germany and an incentive to win the Trophy back,” said Lahm.
“Bringing together and building a team that can become European and world champions is an ongoing process and a minor miracle. While what we saw from Germany was by no means a work of art, I’m sure that they have the power to come back stronger and develop a new generation,” he continued.
Philipp Lahm was Germany’s captain during the 2014 World Cup victory in Brasil. After that, Lahm decided to retire from the international level.
