DBasia.news – Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola hopes David Silva could renew his contract. Guardiola thinks not anyone could replace David Silva.
Despite his 33 year age, David Silva is the key player of Manchester City. This season, he scored 9 goals and 6 assists from the matches of all competitions.
“In this kind of case, it depends on the player. For me, if he is fit and his performances are the same as this season, I’m more than delighted,” he told a news conference.
“It’s not easy to find around the world (a player like Silva). But I think they have to decide for themselves. At that age, your mind controls your legs and your desire and willingness to stay. It depends on him,” Pep added.
David Silva’s contract would end in summer 2020. A few months ago, he uttered the intention to leave Manchester when the contract ends.
Since signed from Valencia in 2010, Silva collected 70 goals and 121 assists from 372 caps of all competitions.
