DBasia.news –  Luciano Spalletti, Inter Milan coach, does not need to worry about losing his current job. According to Giuseppe Marotta, CEO of Inter, his position is safe.

Luciano Spalletti’s position at Inter Milan is in question. Four games without a win were the reason for why the fate of Spalletti was on the edge.

Since the turn of the year, Inter Milan have only won one victory. That also when facing the Serie B team, Benevento, in the Coppa Italia event.

Antonio Conte’s name was mentioned as a potential replacement for Luciano Spalletti. Moreover, Conte has been without a club since being sacked by Chelsea.

However, Giuseppe Marotta dismissed the news. According to the CEO of Inter Milan, he never fired a coach while working in the world of football.

“I confirm there are no problems with Luciano Spalletti, you cannot say Spalletti’s work at Inter Milan is in danger,” Giuseppe Marotta told Mediaset Sport.

“For 22 years as a director in Serie A, I worked for several clubs. Like Atalanta, Sampdoria, and Juventus. During that time, I never fired a coach.”

“You need special conditions to fire the coach, and now Inter Milan are not in that condition. Luciano Spalletti will survive,” added Giuseppe Marotta.

According to some media in Italy, the fate of Luciano Spalletti at Inter Milan depends on the success of qualifying for the Champions League. At present, the Nerazzurri are still in third place.
