Jadon Sancho Was Surprised to Join England National Team

The predicate made England national team coach Gareth Southgate also believed on him. He decided to call Sancho for the first time to join the England senior team.

When he heard the news for the first time, Sancho was surprised and couldn’t believe it because he was still very young.

“I was at training when I first got the call-up and straight away I called my parents. Obviously, they were just delighted for me, and I just couldn’t stop smiling for the whole day,” Sancho said.

“I was a bit surprised to be fair because obviously, I’m so young, I’ve got a lot to learn, I’m just grateful he (Southgate) is seeing my progress in the Bundesliga and I’m just very thankful,” the 18-year-old player added.
