DBasia.news – James Milner believes that Sadio Mane is in his best condition. He hopes the Senegalese winger can continue to contribute goals until the end of the season.
Liverpool managed to ensure a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after winning a 3-1 victory at Bayern Munchen headquarters, at the Allianz Arena.
Mane contributed two goals, while one other goal was scored by Virgil van Dijk. These results have made the team nicknamed the Reds escaped with a 3-1 aggregate advantage as in the first meeting the two teams drew 0-0.
The two-goals added to the coffers of Sadio Mane’s goal in Liverpool this season to 19 goals. In fact, he was able to pack 10 goals in the last 10 matches in all competitions.
The consistency of scoring with an average of one goal per game in the last 10 matches makes Milner believe that Mane is in hot performance.
“Sadio Mane is heating up. Hopefully his performance can continue until the end of the season, “Milner said.
The Reds’ success over Bayern has made England put four representatives in the Champions League quarter-finals this season.
Before Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Manchester City arrived in the quarter-finals. The last time the situation occurred was in the 2008-2009 season.
