DBasia.news – Jamie Redknapp, a former Liverpool midfielder, sees Sadio Mane as the star of the Reds this season, not Mohamed Salah. Redknapp compares the two through statistics.
The Egyptian winger has indeed scored 71 goals in his last two seasons with Liverpool. Mo Salah immediately became a star and has a special place in the hearts of Liverpool fans. But Mane too, with Roberto Firmino on the front lines of the club.
Mane contributed greatly when Liverpool won three times in a row in all competitions this season against Norwich City, Chelsea, and Southampton. Redknapp assessed that the Senegalese winger will be the star of the season ahead of Mo Salah.
“Sadio Mane is showing a great performance to be considered as Liverpool’s main player (star) above Mohamed Salah. The 27-year-old player creates magic and can play for any team,” Redknapp said in Dailymail.
“He has shown it against Southampton, scored a great goal and then started Roberto Firmino’s goal process to win the match with a score of 2-1. Statistics show the great impact he has.”
“No one has scored more Premier League goals than him in 2019. He increased his score to 15 goals on Saturday and none of the goals were scored through penalties.”
The former Southampton player has progressed in the past three years with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
“In Liverpool’s last 30 matches, Mane scored 20 goals, Salah scored 12 goals, and Firmino eight goals. Three years ago Mane made his league debut for Liverpool, scoring four goals in a 4-3 win over Arsenal. Now, he gives the best performance throughout under Jurgen Klopp’s care.”
Magical Sane is expected by Liverpudlian can continue when entertaining Arsenal in Week three of the Premier League which takes place at Anfield on Saturday (8/24) at 23.30 Western Indonesian Time.
