Javier Zanetti Denies the Issue of Lautaro Martinez Leaving

DBasia.news –  The Inter Milan striker, Lautaro Martinez, has recently been linked with Barcelona. But according to Javier Zanetti, Inter’s Vice President, until now there has been no offer for Martinez.

Previously, Barcelona was reportedly interested in bringing in Lautaro Martinez. In fact, the Blaugrana is ready to spend 112 million euros for the Argentine striker.

The slick appearance of Lautaro Martinez in the 2019 Copa America is the reason for Barcelona’s interest. Martinez became Argentina’s national team top scorer in the event with two goals.

Inter Milan will reap the benefits if they accepted Barcelona’s offer. That’s because La Beneamata only recruited Lautaro Martinez with a tag of 14 million euros.

However, Javier Zanetti admitted he did not know about the news. In fact, Zanetti said that Lautaro Martinez is the future of Inter Milan.

“Until now, Inter Milan have not received any offers for Lautaro Martinez. I hope Martinez will continue like this,” said Javier Zanetti.

“In my opinion, Lautaro Martinez is an important player for Inter Milan. I am happy to see him wearing the Inter Milan uniform. His appearance is also quite good.”

“I am happy with what he did in his inaugural season at Inter Milan. It was not easy, and Lautaro Martinez showed quality at the age of 21,” he added.

During the 2018-2019 season, Lautaro Martinez defended Inter Milan in 35 matches in various competitions. Of these, Martinez collected nine goals and two assists.
