Joao Miranda

DBasia.news –  Inter Milan defender Joao Miranda joins Jiangsu Suning. Inter chose to terminate the contract and not get money from the sale. Why is that?

Previously, Joao Miranda’s future at Inter Milan began uncertainly after the 2018-2019 season ended. The player is rumored not to be included in Antonio Conte’s plans.

In addition, Joao Miranda wants to find a club that provides more opportunities to play. Because, last season, the Brazilian player only appeared as a coating of Milan Skriniar and Stevan de Vrij.

After going through the negotiation process, Inter Milan finally chose to break Joao Miranda’s contract with several considerations. La Beneamata will not get money from Miranda’s transfer to Jiangsu Suning.

“FC Internazionale Milano announced that it had reached an agreement to terminate the contract with Joao Miranda. The Brazilian defender was at Inter Milan since 2015,” Inter explained in an official statement.

“In four seasons with Inter’s jersey, he collected 121 appearances and one goal. We wish Miranda good luck in the future,” continued the Nerazzurri.

The main reason Inter Milan released Joao Miranda on a free transfer is that they will not get a Capital Gain. In the rules, selling players to a club owned by one owner will not affect the Capital Gain.

That way, Inter will not get Capital Gain because Jiangsu Suning is also owned by the same owner as of the Nerazzurri.

However, Inter can save money in terms of expenses for Joao Miranda’s salary. Reportedly, with Miranda’s contract remaining one season, the Nerazzurri saved 6.4 million euros.
