Jordan Henderson Wants Liverpool to Copy City’s Success

DBasia.news –  Jordan Henderson hopes Liverpool is able to follow Manchester City’s success by winning more than one trophy each season.

Liverpool will face Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final in Madrid next week to hunt for their first title since 2012.

Meanwhile City have just claimed the treble this season by securing the Premier League trophy, FA Cup and League Cup.

“This season City has won three trophies, and Liverpool also wanted to be like that,” Henderson said.

“We don’t want to only hunt for one title. We want to bring home a lot of trophies every season.”

“If you look at City, they don’t settle for one trophy. They aim for two trophies in one season and indeed that is what Liverpool should do. That is our target.”

“This is a great opportunity for us and we want to close the season with a trophy. If it fails, it will be challenging to accept but at the same time we will continue to move forward,” Henderson concluded.
