DBasia.news – Shocking news came from Catalunya or more precisely Barcelona. Barcelona Deputy President, Jordi Mestre, has resigned in the middle of the summer transfer market opening.
Reporting from Sport, Jordi Mestre used his involvement in the hospitality industry as the reason for his resignation.
The resignation occurred after a meeting with the directors of Barca, which was also followed by Pep Segura as the club’s sporting director. Mestre has a good relationship with Segura, as well as the club’s president, Josep Maria Bartomeu.
But the differences in views that emerged during the meeting were reported to be the reason why Mestre made the decision to resign. Previously, Mestre had already stated that he would leave his position at Camp Nou when his term ended in 2021.
Barca are currently undergoing an important transfer market, with speculation about the return of Neymar and the recruitment of Antoine Griezmann, accompanied by the sale of several players, can experience a crisis in their club management in the near future.
