DBasia.news – The Portuguese coach, Jose Mourinho, responded to the reappointment of Zinedine Zidane as Real Madrid coach. According to the former Manchester United manager, Zidane’s appointment was the right thing for Madrid.
Real Madrid are struggling this season. El Real have made several solutions such as replacing Julen Lopetegui with Santiago Solari.
At first, Santiago Solari made Real Madrid invincible. But in the end, Los Blancos were eliminated in the Copa del Rey and Champions League. In fact, Karim Benzema and his mates were 12 points behind from the standings leaders, Barcelona.
Finally, Real Madrid continued to returned Zinedine Zidane home. The French coach signed a contract until June 2022.
Jose Mourinho, who was linked with Real Madrid, also spoke up on the matter. Mourinho said Madrid’s action to appoint Zidane was correct.
“I think it’s perfect with the fantastic things he did in the past few years,” Mourinho told El Chiringuito, as reported by the Spanish media, Marca.
“This is perfect for me. Perfect for Real Madrid, and perfect for Zinedine Zidane,” continued the Portuguese manager.
“It’s a good opportunity to show how good he is. Especially, now with a new project. I think he’s great,” Mourinho said.
For 28 months Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane won three Champions League titles in a row, one LaLiga title, the Spanish Super Cup, two European Super Cups and two Club World Cups.
