Jose Mourinho Replace Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspur

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Jose Mourinho has officially replaced Mauricio Pochettino who was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur after five years as manager of the team.

Tottenham Hotspur has lost patience with Mauricio Pochettino. Negative results achieved this season are believed to be the strongest reason the Argentine manager was kicked out.

Harry Kane and his friends only occupy the 14th position of the standings from the 12 matches that have been held. Sadly, Tottenham was only able to collect 14 points.

“We are very reluctant to make these changes. That is a decision we took slowly, not in a hurry,” Tottenham owner Daniel Levy said on Tottenham’s official website.

“It is the responsibility of the board to make difficult decisions. This decision is not easy given there are many unforgettable moments that we have with Pochettino and his staff. However, this is in the best interest of the club.”

Mauricio Pochettino began coaching Tottenham Hotspur in 2014. So far, he has reaped 159 wins, 62 draws and 72 losses. One of his best notches is to bring Tottenham Hotspur to the Champions League final last season.

“Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff will always be a part of Tottenham’s history. I really admire the way he faced difficult situations when he couldn’t play at home,” he continued.

It didn’t take long for Tottenham Hotspur to find a replacement for Pochettino. Jose Mourinho coached Tottenham until 2023.
