DBasia.news – Former Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, gave his advice to Marcus Rashford to develop again with United. Mourinho wants the United striker to continue training hard.
Marcus Rashford impressed when Manchester United beat Chelsea 4-0 in the first week of the Premier League 2019-2020, at Old Trafford stadium on Sunday (11/8). The Red Devils academy graduate scored two goals.
Jose Mourinho believes the ability of Marcus Rashford will continue to develop this season. Moreover, he will get more portion of play after Romelu Lukaku lifted his foot to Inter Milan.
“That’s not enough (10 goals), he has to score more goals. Especially, after Romelu Lukaku left,” explained Jose Mourinho as reported by Mirror.
“I believe it will be part of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. Maybe it will be added by Alexis Sanchez and Mason Greenwood. He will be on the field all the time,” he explained.
“I believe he has the quality to be even better. Because, he is not only a child with potential but also an ambition and work ethic that continues to increase,” he explained.
“I believe this season he has a great chance to become a better player. He will score more goals,” explained Mourinho.
However, Mourinho still asked Rashford to continue to develop his abilities. The Special One rate the British player will have difficulty when met with a team that played defensively.
“Playing the way they are showing today, against Chelsea which allows them to perform well, he is very dangerous,” said Mourinho.
“Against teams with a compact defense, tighter defense, more physical duels, more pressure on Man United when controlling the ball, I’m sure it will be difficult for Rashford.”
Thanks to that victory, Manchester United clung to Manchester City at the top of the table. Next, the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer troops will travel to the Wolverhampton Wanderers headquarters.
