Juan Mata is confident Manchester United will win the big trophy
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Juan Mata believes Manchester United will end the wait for the Premier League title. He disagrees with his manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Mata, 31, admitted that United’s level of play was not the same as Britain’s top two teams, Manchester City and Liverpool. But, the Spaniard also believes United can immediately compete at the top of the table.
“This is how it is. Rivals play well and win trophies. Being a Manchester United player is very special and if I can win important trophies while I’m here, then this will be a wait worth waiting for,” Mata said, quoted by Teamtalk.
Solskjaer once said United had to go step by step to be able to compete for another important trophy. Mata disagrees with him and believes United’s title wait will not be long.
“I think when the club and manager have said we will need time (to win the trophy), we believe this will not be long. I think the club always wins (wins the trophy) and he (Solskjaer) has won many trophies here as a player” added Mata.
“I have also won several things here and in my mind is to win something very important with United. I believe we can do it, other teams play football very well and now, in the last part of my career, the biggest thing I want is winning the trophy,” he explained.
