DBasia.news – The poor record of Real Madrid continues. The 0-1 defeat in the visit to CSKA Moscow home on the second match of Group E Champions League, Wednesday (3/10) added the poor record of Madrid recently.
Madrid’s expectation to quit the downturn must be postponed. This match is the third time Madrid failed to achieve the victory in five recent matches in all competitions. Moreover, in three recent matches, Los Blancos failed to score any goal.
After the defeat against CSKA, coach Julen Lopetegui talked about the squad’s incapability to maximize the opportunity.
“Of course, (they) played at home and the quick goal helped them, but we didn’t take our chances,” Lopetegui told Reuters.
“We need to create scoring chances, I’m sure that sooner or later we will start scoring,” Lopetegui added.
The defeat made Madrid kicked from the leading position of Group E temporary standing, that is currently placed by CSKA with four points.
Madrid with three points stay as the runner-up despite the similar points to AS Roma.
