DBasia.news – FC Barcelona reportedly agreed to recruit 22-year-old left-back Real Betis, Junior Firpo. The news was reported by Fox Sport.
Added by transfer expert from Italy, Fabrizio Romano at @Fabrizio Romano, Betis has reached an agreement with Barcelona about the transfer price which is rumored to reach a tag of 25 million euros.
“Junior Firpo goes to Barcelona, here he is! A total agreement has been reached with Betis, the final details and the agreement will be completed,” Romano said.
Firpo will be Barca’s sixth recruitment after the club recruits Frenkie de Jong, Antoine Griezmann, Neto, Emerson, and Marc Cucurella. Betis has also recruited Alfonso Pedraza to replace Junior Firpo.
Barcelona bought a left-back to be a competitor as well as a coating for Jordi Alba. The Spanish left-back has not had a matching coating since Lucas Digne left last year. Although rarely injured, Alba’s fitness can decrease if not rotated by Ernesto Valverde.
