DBasia.news – Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, reiterated the transfer situation which was faced by the Reds. Klopp underlines that Liverpool cannot afford big spending every year.
Liverpool is spending a lot of money to bring new ammunition in the past two years. Mohamed Salah, Alisson, Naby Keita, until Xherdan Shaqiri has shrunk Liverpool’s coffers.
At present, Liverpool’s transfer market has been on the low. In fact, the Reds only received one young player, Sepp van den Berg.
Jurgen Klopp realized that he could not do much. He can only take advantage of the player material that already exists today.
“This year is not the end of Liverpool. Next year, there will be another transfer window. This team is very good and we have invested a lot in it. Now, we have to work with it,” Klopp said as quoted by Goal.
“I can’t say anything about what the other team did. I don’t know how they did it. We have to pay the bills,” he continued.
“We are investing money in this team. Now, it seems like we are not. However, we are not in a fantastic land where you get whatever you want. You can’t do it constantly.”
Jurgen Klopp revealed, there are only four clubs that can continue to run in every transfer market. The clubs are Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.
“It’s not criticism. I know how to accept it. I’m not jealous or anything,” Klopp said.
“There is no guarantee that we will not draw against Leicester on a snowy field as we brought in five new players. There is no guarantee.”
