Jurgen Klopp Welcomes the Positive Use of VAR in the Premier League

After the pros and cons, the Premier League finally used VAR. The technology is expected to bring a fair match and minimize errors. 

The Premier League is slower than other top European leagues such as Serie A and LaLiga. The number one competition in the UK only agreed on the use of VAR when the 2018-2019 season was underway.

Jurgen Klopp who has long understood VAR responded. The ex-Borussia Dortmund coach said the Premier League did need VAR.

“VAR is very good. Everything is going well after the FA showed us part of the process,” Klopp said as reported by the official Liverpool website.

“The technology looks interesting and safe. The technology is very safe when you involve humans, that’s how it is,” continued the interpreter of tactics.

“I have known VAR for two years in Germany. Initially, it was not easy, but now it is more stable. You have a discussion about this after the match.”

Some parties had criticized the use of VAR. According to them, VAR eliminates the sensation of playing soccer. However, Klopp has a different view.
