DBasia.news – No longer having the career in Europe, Medhi Benatia chose to Qatar with Al-Duhail. The Morocco national team captain decided to leave the Italian giant, Juventus.
Medhi Benatia left Europe for the first time of his career as a football player. Juventus official website announced his departure to Asia.
According to their official release, Al-Duhail paid 8 million euro to sign Medhi Benatia in two terms.
However, Juventus could get another fee from the 31-year-old player. Al-Duhail must add another 2 million euro if he fulfills some criteria.
The transfer ended Medhi Benatia’s contract with Juventus. Benatia joined La Vecchia Signora as the loan-player from Bayern Munchen before signed permanently.
Last season, Medhi Benatia was the main defender of Juventus along with Georgio Chiellini. Now, Leonardo Bonucci’s return made him left out.
Meanwhile, Juventus already have the successor. I Bianconeri signed the multitalented defender, Martin Caceres, to add the strength.
Currently, Martin Caceres is having the medical review in Juventus. Later, he will compete with Daniele Rugani as the third defender in I Bianconeri.
Previously, Martin Caceres defended Juventus for two periods. With La Vecchia Signora, he won five Scudetto, three Italian Super Cup trophies, and two Coppa Italia.
