Juventus squad renovation in the era of Maurizio Sarri

Maurizio Sarri

DBasia.news –  Juventus have secured Maurizio Sarri’s service as a substitute for Massimiliano Allegri. Now, the Bianconeri can be fully focused in the summer transfer market.

Juventus, so far, have only brought in Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal with a free transfer status (his contract ends with Arsenal). The presence of the Wales midfielder will add strength to the midfield of Juventus’ game with his quality and experience playing.

Sarri is usually synonymous with 4-3-3 tactics, a mainstay formation that has been used for the past four years: three seasons with Napoli and a season with Chelsea. In that formation, Juventus are predicted to experience several squad changes.

Quoted from Calciomercato who took references from Italian transfer experts, Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus were allegedly going to sell and recruit several players this summer. Of course by adjusting Maurizio Sarri’s football philosophy.

Sales

Joao Cancelo, Mario Mandzukic, Juan Cuadrado, Sami Khedira, and Mattia Perin had the chance to leave Turin. Cancelo is seriously in demand by Manchester City and is allegedly not the typical right-back Sarri likes: not only offensive, Sarri likes a defender who knows how to defend well.

While for Mandzukic and Khedira, sales can be done considering their age is over 30 years. Sarri wants speed and intensity to play high in his squad.

Then for Cuadrado and Perin, both of them rarely play and have the chance to leave to be replaced with other players in the transfer market this summer. Last season, Sarri rarely rotated Kepa Arrizabalaga with Willy Caballero.

Purchase

Paul Pogba, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Federico Chiesa, one right-back (if Cancelo leaves), and additional center-backs, will be a potential Juventus transfer strategy in the matter of buying new players.

The first two names are still rumors, but Chiesa is seriously interested in Juventus to regenerate the front lines. In a 4-3-3 tactic, ideally, Juve can reduce Federico Bernardeschi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Federico Chiesa.

Such a fast and dangerous striker trio will be very well liked by Sarri who has the Dries Mertens trio, Lorenzo Insigne, and Jose Callejon in Naples, and Eden Hazard trio, Gonzalo Higuain, Pedro at Chelsea.

While for potential transfer surprises, Juve could have brought Isco or Nicolo Zaniolo. Isco is favored by Fabio Paratici, Director of Juventus Sports, and can act as a regulator of attacks in 4-3-3 tactics.
