Kalidou Koulibaly Talks About Fans Racist Abuse in Inter Vs Napoli Match

DBasia.news – Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly became the victim of racist abuse from the fans during the 18th-week of Serie A match between Inter Milan against Napoli. He also gives comment about that.

The Senegal player admits that he never regret being born in colored skin. He feels proud to be a Senegalese born in France. When Napoli played against Inter, he got inappropriate treatment from the host’s supporters.

Every time the 27-year-old defender dominated the ball, the host mimicking the voice of a monkey. Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti who heard that racist abuse asked the local official to terminate the match.

However, they ignored Ancelotti’s request and the match kept on going. Consequently, Koulibaly’s focus was distracted and the coach Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni asked him to leave the pitch at 80′.

At that time, Koulibaly got a yellow card because the referee thought he dropped Inter winger, Matteo Politano. Feeling unfair, he clapped his hand sarcastically to the referee. Then, the referee gave him the second yellow card to the player associated to Manchester United.

“I am sorry about the loss and above all to have left my brothers (out on the pitch). However, I am proud of my skin color. To be a French, Senegalese and Neapolitan man,” said Koulibaly cited from Mirror, Thursday (27/12).

Due to the failure against Inter, Napoli failed to be closer to Juventus. Currently, they are in the second position with 41 points, 9 points behind Juventus as the table-toppers of 2018-2019 Serie A.
