DBasia.news – Real Madrid returned to the pace of victory when they hosted Eibar in the LaLiga match. In the 100th match Zinedine Zidane has coached the club, El Real won 2-1 over Eibar at Santiago Bernabeu, Saturday (6/4) evening WIB.
Madrid tried to rise after a 1-2 defeat over Valencia – Zidane’s first defeat in his second period coaching Madrid. Zidane continued to remodel the composition of his team players by lowering players who were different from before.
Madrid’s game has not fully convinced the fans. Even Santiago Bernabeu was not full of spectators. Worse yet, the hosts were left behind on the 39th minute when the Barcelona loan player, Marc Cardona, scored a goal.
Eibar showed their status as LaLiga’s dark horse team this season and deserved to excel in the first half – Eibar played more insistently. Madrid’s moment of revival only happened in the second round.
Karim Benzema, Madrid striker, continued to try to score even though the referee’s two goals were ruled out for offside. His tenacity to play is paid off with the right results. The French striker scored two goals in the 59th and 81st minutes.
Not only saving Madrid from missing goals, Benzema’s goals aroused the hosts’ hopes to rise and then turn to win. It was his fifth and sixth goal in the last five games.
Madrid turned 2-1 win over Eibar and closed the match with three points that made the team’s position stagnant in third place of the standings. Benzema’s role has continued to be proved important in replacing Cristiano Ronaldo’s duties this season.
There is an interesting note from the victory. Benzema helped Madrid win 24 points this season with 17 goals in LaLiga. Without those 24 points, Madrid might be ranked 13th in the standings. Los Blancos won the game but has left a lot of homework for Zidane.
