Keylor Navas’ Feelings After Returning to Appear as Real Madrid’s Main Goalkeeper

But the hope of returning to being the main goalkeeper seems to be coming back before the competition ends. The inconsistency displayed by El Real made the club end their teamwork with Santiago Solari faster. Zinedine Zidane, who hasn’t been back for a year, decided to return to Bernabeu.

Zidane’s return immediately made Navas be back intobeing the main goalkeeper. In the match against Celta Vigo, El Real won 2-0 and the 32-year-old goalkeeper also successfully recorded a clean sheet.

Responding to the team’s victory as well as himself who returned to being the main goalkeeper, Navas finally spoke up on the matter, the player who had defended Levante was also pleased as he could reunite with Zidane.

“Zidane is a coach who always spoke honestly. He also talks directly with all players. I have never lost the spirit to continue to work hard,” Navas said as quoted by Goal.

“Yes, Santiago Solari may have his own reasons when susbstituting me, but now it doesn’t seem important to keep talking about it. He’s no longer at Real Madrid. Right now I feel stronger and very ambitious to continue to be consistent in every match,” he added.

The victory over Celta is clearly very much needed by Real Madrid, besides lifting the team’s morale, these three points also make them now just two points adrift of city rivals who are in second place in the standings, Atletico Madrid.
