DBasia.news – After the 3-0 convincing victory against Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur become weak and got defeated in two consecutive times by Watford (1-2) and Liverpool (1-2) in the Premier League. In that condition, they look forward to the Champions League match.

Tottenham will visit Giuseppe Meazza, Inter Milan home in the first match of Group B Champions League on Tuesday (18/9). For Erik Lamela, the match is special because he was played for AS Roma in 2011-2013.

Lamela has a sweet memory in Italy when he brought Roma to the final round of 2013 Coppa Italia, defeating Inter in the semifinal round. Won 2-1 in the first leg, Roma tried hard in the second leg before won 32 and won with the aggregate victory with a 5-2 goal. In the end, Roma got defeated by Lazio in the final round.

The memory will forever resemble in the heart of 26-year-old Argentinian wing striker. Lamela hoped the worse days in Tottenham will end and they can regain the victory in Inter home, the team who is currently facing the difficulty in Serie A.

“It is difficult to play there but we have an amazing group and we are more than capable of winning,” Lamela said in Tottenham’s official website.

“We have to attack very well but defend very well too because they have very good players. Sometimes we have bad days like against Liverpool but I hope it is only a bad day and on Tuesday we play amazing. For sure, we will be fresh and ready to go and on Tuesday, to try to win at the San Siro,” he expects.

The good start made it easy for Tottenham to keep the hope for the round of 16. Moreover, Mauricio Pochettino squad are in the dangerous squad of Group B with Barcelona, PSV, and Inter.

“I believe in this team and we will try to get better. It was a tough game (against Liverpool), it wasn’t our best performance but this is what we need to try to do – to play our best and after, okay, maybe we lose because this is the game. You can win, you can lose, but our mentality is to improve from this and we will do it,” Lamela concluded.
