Last Offer, Man United Propose 80 Million Pounds to Recruit Harry Maguire

DBasia.news –  Manchester United reportedly the British media is ready to make Harry Maguire, Leicester City defender, as the world’s most expensive defender in the transfer market this summer.

Believed by Sky Sports, Man United made a final bid of 80 million pounds – less than 10 million pounds from the official price set by Leicester. The Foxes have two choices: accept it or no one will bid that high.

Still having a four-year contract, Leicester are not in a position that requires selling Maguire. Nevertheless, according to news circulating, Maguire wants to move to United. The player’s desire is contrary to Leicester’s insistence.

So far, Man United have only recruited two players: Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Besides targeting Maguire, they also targeted Bruno Fernandes (Sporting Lisbon), Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Lazio), and allegedly had the potential to swap Romelu Lukaku with Paulo Dybala.

If Leicester accepted the offer then Maguire would become the world’s most expensive defender. The status is still owned by Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk, who was bought for 75 million pounds from Southampton in January 2018.
