Leading the Premier League During Christmas, Liverpool Are Cautious

DBasia.news – Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp won’t conceited even though the team lead the table during Christmas. Klopp thinks the title race for 2018-2019 Premier League is wide open for any club.

“I think if all the other boys (Tottenham and Chelsea) win 2-0 when they play, then I think three or four teams will have more than 40 points at Christmas, that is really exceptional,” the manager added.

Generally, the club who achieved the record would win the Premier League. In 26 recent matches, 14 teams who lead the table during Christmas would close the season as the champion.

In detail, from 8 of 9 recent seasons, the club who led the table during Christmas won the competition. Interestingly, the only club who failed to do that was Liverpool in the 2013-2014 season.
