DBasia.news – Andres Prieto, the Leganes goalkeeper, considered his team mate on loan to Real Madrid, Andriy Lunin, was ready to return to Bernabeu and compete there.
El Real bought Lunin from Zorya Luhansk at the start of this season at 8.5 million euros, plus five million euros. Lunin became the first Ukrainian player to play for Madrid. But, Lunin was immediately sent to another club because of the intense competition.
Lunin competed with two experienced and quality goalkeepers, Thibaut Courtois and Keylor Navas, not to mention the young goalkeeper who is the son of Zinedine Zidane, Luca Zidane, who was Madrid’s third goalkeeper.
His loan period at Leganes went well for his career development. Lunin has appeared five times in all competitions, although he is also a coating for veteran goalkeeper, Ivan Cuellar.
Prieto, the young Leganes goalkeeper, thinks Lunin is ready to play and compete again in Madrid. “Andriy Lunin has a great future in front of him. He is ready to play for Real,” believes Prieto, quoted from Goal.
Nevertheless, Lunin must be mentally strong to compete next season as Madrid still has Courtois, Navas, Zidane, and are reportedly eyeing other top European goalkeepers.
