Lionel Messi Had Thought Neymar would Move to Real Madrid
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, claimed to have thought if his former teammate Neymar Jr. would move to Real Madrid. It occurred to him if Barcelona failed to bring home the Paris Saint-German (PSG) player.
Neymar did not cover his desire to leave his current club, Paris Saint-Germain. He also submitted a transfer request to the club.
Neymar’s future has indeed become a hot conversation. The Brazilian continues to be linked with a transfer saga to Barcelona or Real Madrid.
“I think that Neymar will move to Real Madrid if he does not return here,” Messi said in an interview session with RAC1 radio on Wednesday (9/10).
“He wants to leave Paris and he shows it,” the Barca captain said.
“Even though he survives, I think Florentino [Perez, president of Real Madrid] will do something to recruit him,” he added.
Previously, discussions between PSG and Barcelona were deadlocked until the D-1 before the transfer market deadline.
Ivan Rakitic and Ousmane Dembele were reportedly included in the Barca exchange package to streamline the transfer of Neymar.
However, Dembele’s refusal to move Paris became the last cause of the failure of Neymar’s return to Camp Nou.
As reported by Sport English, PSG is only willing to release the most expensive player in the world for € 200 million or “only” a loss of € 22 million from the purchase price.
