Liverpool Beats Salzburg, Mohamed Praises the Experience of the Reds

DBasia.news – Liverpool defeated Red Bull Salzburg on the second matchday of the Champions League group stage, Thursday (3/10) AM. Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool striker, stated that the victory achieved by his team was due to experience.
In the match that ended 4-3 last night, Liverpool as the defending champion was able to lead three balls in advance in the first 36 minutes through Sadio Mane, Andy Robertson and Salah, who were then reduced by Hwang Hee-Chan three minutes later.
In the second half, Salzburg were able to equalize the score through Takumi Minamino and Erling Haaland in one hour of play, before being forced to surrender through Salah’s second goal in the 69th minute.
Reflecting on this match, Salah told reporters: “Sometimes things don’t go as planned, but we have the experience to overcome that when we don’t play as well as we wanted,” he said, before criticizing his team’s performance in the second 45 minutes.
“The second half was not great, but we are experienced. We know what to do in that situation and we are thrilled to achieve the win at the end of the match. “
Last night’s match coincided with Roberto Firmino’s 28th birthday. The Brazilian striker even packed two assists which Salah gave him credit for.
“This is his birthday (Firmino), so I really want him to score goals too. But he gave two assists, this is still a good performance from him, “he concluded.
Thanks to this victory, Liverpool finished second in the Group E standings with a collection of three points, while Salzburg are ranked one below with the same points.
