Liverpool Potentially Breaks the Record if They Successfully Win the Premier League 2018-19

DBasia.news –  Liverpool competed fiercely with Manchester City in the race for the 2018-19 Premier League title. Both are currently one point adrift, Liverpool are in first place and The Citizens are in second place in the standings.

If Liverpool continues to consistently win in the remaining games, then Jurgen Klopp and the current squad will break the record as the team that ended the curse of never winning in the Premier League era.

Finally, Liverpool won in 1990 when the format was still called the First Division. The chance for the Merseyside team to win the Premier League title is quite large because Klopp has a good balance on the back, center and front lines.

Liverpool have conceded just 15 goals in the Premier League – the best in the league. The toughness of the back line was formed because of the presence of two players with high official prices: Virgil van Dijk (75 million pounds) and Alisson ( 66.8 million pounds).

Liverpool also have the second best front line in the Premier League after Man City. They have scored 64 goals thanks to a combination of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane trio, which was reinforced by the presence of Xherdan Shaqiri.

Not only that, if Liverpool succeed in becoming champions at the end of the season, they will erase the tradition of the Premier League champions who are always reinforced by players from France.

For a century, there have always been French players who were involved in the squad of the Premier League champions such as Patrick Vieira, Thierry Henry, Claude Makelele, Nicolas Anelka, Laurent Blanc, Patrice Evra and N’Golo Kante.

Last season, Man City had Eliaquim Mangala, Aymeric Laporte and Benjamin Mendy – although both were not active, they contributed greatly to the success of The Citizens. Then when Leicester City and Chelsea previously became champions, both teams were strengthened by Kante.

Liverpool do not have French players in the current squad, as are the players on loan at other clubs. So, if Liverpool become the Premier League champions this season, then they will break the tradition, in addition to winning the Premier League title for the first time since 1990.
