DBasia.news – Germany national team coach Joachim Low praised the mentality of his squad after the 2-1 winning against Peru in the friendly match at Rhein-Neckar Arena, Sunday (9/9). Low assumed the Germany players weren’t surrendering until the last minute.

Germany were left behind by Luis Advincula’s goal at 22′. Three minutes later, Germany balanced the situation through Julian Brandt’s goal.

After the goal, Germany kept on pushing Peru’s defense. The tireless effort resulted greatly after Nico Schulz wrote his name on the scoreboard at 85′.

“I’m glad that we won the game. We felt that the team wanted to win the match, they fought until the end,” Low said reported by FourFourTwo.

“We missed a lot of chances in the first half. That was the problem. The substitutions made the rhythm a bit broken. The balance is not yet 100 percent,” the coach insisted.

In that match, Low gave the chance for Nico Schulz to play. Schulz’s performance impressed him. Moreover, he became the decisive winner for Der Panzer.

“I’m happy for him because he also made a good impression in training and made a very committed game. He is physically very good and fast,” Low said.

The match against Peru was special for Joachim Low. Currently, Low could equal Sepp Herberger’s achievement who once led Germany with 167 matches.
