Losing from RB Leipzig, Jose Mourinho Thinks of the Second Leg in Germany
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Jose Mourinho, Tottenham Hotspur’s manager, talks about the second leg of the Champions League against RB Leipzig. The former Real Madrid manager said he would not be strengthened by several players. This he revealed after losing the first leg of the Champions League with a score of 0-1.
Tottenham Hotspur failed to take advantage of a home game after being defeated by RB Leipzig 1-0 in the first leg. The only goal for the visitors was created by Timo Werner through the white spot in the 58th minute.
Jose Mourinho was able to confidently turn things around in the second leg. The manager is more concerned with the condition of the squad that was hit by an injury storm.
“I’m not worried about the 1-0 result. We can go there and win,” Jose Mourinho said as reported by BT Sport.
“One thing that worries me is the number of players who aren’t able to appear in the next match. Lucas Moura can’t, Steven Bergwijn too, while Giovani Lo Celseo is really unable.”
“We are really in trouble. If the match we face is only this, it will not be a problem. However, we also have the FA Cup, the English League Cup and the Premier League.”
Now, Jose Mourinho will try to mix the strategies of the remaining players. Before facing the second leg, The Lilywhites will challenge Aston Villa and Chelsea.
“I know that Erik Lamela can only perform for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, Tanguy Ndombele is unable to play for 90 minutes. I try to design from what he has,” said Jose Mourinho.
In addition to the players mentioned by Jose Mourinho, Tottenham have also previously lost Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min. The absence of the two players has made Tottenham’s power decline.
