DBasia.news –  Real Madrid legend Jorge Valdano thinks Gareth Bale isn’t the right person to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Santiago Bernabeu. In his opinion, the Wales player is lack of passion.

Madrid won 4-2 against Espanyol in the LaLiga match at RCDE Stadium. In that match, Gareth Bale wasn’t the starter.

He entered the pitch at 64′ replacing Vinicius Junior. Three minutes later, the former Tottenham Hotspur player wrote his name on the scoreboard using the assist from Lucas Vazquez.

Despite one goal contribution, Gareth Bale was criticized. The 29-year-old player seemed lack of passion in that match.

“Bale has a tremendous class, but then he disappears, he shows less passion than other players,” Valdano said.

“Bale is a player who fights against his body, he does not look like a passionate player. He came to occupy the emptiness left by Cristiano and he has not, the one who has occupied that empty place is Vinicius,” he added.

Bale has been supporting Madrid in 24 caps this season. The former Tottenham Hotspur player scored 11 goals and 5 assists.
