DBasia.news – Number 1 supporter of national team, Hiroshi Hamada believes the country is capable of taking on Japan’s challenge in the upcoming round of  the last 16 Asian Games Jakarta-Palembang 2018 match which will take place at the Patriot Stadium Chandrabhaga, Bekasi, tomorrow night.

Hamada, who is also Yakult (M) Sdn Bhd’s managing director, has put confidence in his “adopted nation” ability to pass the Samurai Blue squad despite meeting his homeland.

Although he himself is a Japanese citizen, his spirit remains in the national squad with Hamada often appearing in every game solely to manifest unwavering support to the Malaysian team.

“I have decided to support the national team since we (Yakult Malaysia) became the official sponsor for this team,” said Hamada.

“I’m sure our players have the ability to make a surprise by beating the Japanese team at tomorrow’s match.

“As a sponsor, my dream is to see the Malaysian team in action at the 2020 Olympics in Japan and also qualify for the World Cup someday.

In fact, Hamada is optimistic that the country’s squad is in the best position after receiving nutritional assistance from Yakult Malaysia.

“During the 2018 Asian Games, we sent Yakult from Malaysia for the national players to drink.

“This is to ensure the health of the gut and the body’s defense system are at their best so that they are able to give an outstanding perfromance,” he said.

For the record, Yakult is the official probiotic drink of the Malaysian football team and the National Sports Institute (ISN) since 2017, for every purchase of a bottle of Yakult, 1 sen will be contributed to the development of the national football team.
