Man City Player Isn’t Considering Man United As Premier League Trophy Winner Contender

DBasia.news – Manchester United aren’t considered as the contender to win the Premier League title this season by Manchester City player, Bernardo Silva. He predicted the match would be the rivalry between Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, and The Citizens.

Tottenham Hotspur who are currently in the 5th rank would also be the rival in achieving it. The tight competition to achieve the Premier League title could be seen from the close point achievement.

Man City and Liverpool are in the first and second rank with 26 points, followed by Chelsea with 24 points, Arsenal with 22 points, and Tottenham Hotspur with 21 points.

Man City wing striker Bernardo Silva also gave his opinion about the rivals of his team to get the Premier League title. Interestingly, he didn’t mention Man City rival, Manchester United.

“I think either Chelsea and Liverpool (are contenders), they are very strong, Arsenal as well. Even Tottenham, even though they lost, they’re still contenders,” Silva told Goal.

“I think it will be harder because last season nobody was expecting us to win as many games and to reach that level of points (1000 points), so this season the teams know they have to do better to beat us.”

“Of course it will be very hard, but we will work every game to get the three points and at the end of it try and celebrate winning one more Premier League,” Silva expects.

It’s reasonable for the Portuguese player to not mention Man United as the contender of Premier League title. The Red Devils, who already achieved 20 Premier League titles, performed inconsistently this season and stay in the 8th rank with 17 points, 9 points away to Man City.

Manchester Derby at Etihad Stadium at November 11 will prove his point. If Man United gain the victory, they could preserve the hope to achieve Premier League title or the Champions League zone.
