Man United Failed to Win at Molineux, Here’s Solskjaer’s Comment

DBasia.news –  Ole Gunnar Solkjaer, the manager of Manchester United, revealed the reason for his team’s failure to win three points at Wolverhampton Wanderers’ headquarters. The failure occurred because of United lost their guard.

Manchester United must be satisfied going home with one point from Wolverhampton’s headquarters. That was after both teams only played 1-1 until the match ended.

A visit to Molineux Stadium, Manchester United and Wolverhampton played the second week of the 2019-2020 Premier League. The match took place on Monday (8/19).

Manchester United took the lead through Anthony Martial’s goal when the match went on 27 minutes. Unfortunately, the home team equalized 10 minutes after the second half went on.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rated Manchester United off guard at the start of the second half. In fact, the manager felt the Red Devils were superior throughout the first half of the match.

“In my opinion, the first-round match against Wolverhampton belongs to Manchester United. However, the first 10 to 15 minutes we played poorly,” said the Norwegian manager.

“Luckily, we are back to playing like before. To be honest I feel quite satisfied with the results of Manchester United. This match can be a lesson for the players.”

“They learned a lot today, the players gave a lot of sloppy feedback, counterattacked. Manchester United is too forced to play direct passes,” he added.

In fact, Manchester United can win this match. Unfortunately, Paul Pogba failed to hit the ball into the Wolverhampton’s goal through a penalty kick.
