Man United Legend Comments on Sadio Mane’s Appearance at Old Trafford

Furthermore, Neville tried to analyze the match as a whole. The ex-Manchester United defender believes Liverpool truly wanted to take home three points from Old Trafford.

“The top teams in history will go and win the match. Liverpool will always have questions until they win the title and cross the line,” said Neville.

“It was an opportunity to make a statement. They still had a great chance of winning the Premier League, but the anger that Jurgen Klopp had was the fact that his team could do much better. The match was not won.”

An additional point made Liverpool occupy the top of the Premier League standings with 66 points. Meanwhile, Manchester United are stuck in fifth position after reaching 52 point.
